Julie writes...

When Celia Player and I tried to find time to meet and discuss this project we realised what was endangered in our lives was time. This became the idea for our collaboration.

The piece for the exhibition was conceived as a series of embroidered panels or samplers, which give instructions on how to make time or, if not make time, at least how to create a quiet and expansive space in your life. The words could be directives to the student embroiderer or koans given by the Zen master to the disciple.
