Joan Goldsworthy

Living on the slopes of imposing Mount Wellington - and the natural Tasmanian environment - are a major inspiration for Joan's paintings. They are heightened by her love of bold music, movement, colour and humour. She strives to engender a 'sense of place' in her work by interpreting what she feels, rather than merely repeating what she sees. So her work is sometimes emotional, elusive, vibrant, even quirky - but always from the soul.

Joan has exhibited widely and represented in private and public collections in Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, the United States and Switzerland.
