In this exhibition 'Endangered : Drawing the Line' I have been preparing two contrasting pieces.

The first is a textile machine-embroidered piece titled 'Wild Forest'. It is a study of old growth forest, and has been worked on a rusted and tannic treated cotton surface.

The second piece is a series of six collages. These are entitled, 'Endangered, going beyond the Line'.

It is a quirky exploration of a very likely future for our children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, if we continue overlook our responsibilities to the present and future generations. Climate change and out-of-control economic growth, left unchecked, will bring all life into crisis. I am exploring the juxtaposition of financial gain, and those fundamental needs of all living things: a healthy environment and access to food and water.

I have recently facilitated workshops at the Cygnet Folk Festival and released a new CD called 'Chalice of Gaia, Chants for Peace'.

I live in Koonya, south east of Hobart.
